Photojournalism Career Guidance

Observation is a key component for assessing meaning. Photojournalism exploration workshops offer guidance for teens and early college students interested in uncovering creative career outlets and future potential beyond a communications degree. These workshops explore specifics in the field of photojournalism, helping students determine how to foster their imagination with intention within a creative field. Quarterly, we will meet to connect, explore, and practice learning a new skill utilizing the artistic process for application. 

 

The Photojournalist experiences are dedicated to providing a place for entrepreneurial teens and young adults to explore, understand, and engage with photography. Passionate about guiding students in their artistic endeavors, whether it's through art curation, collection management, audience perspective, networking, publishing, we will engage in a variety of diverse learning experiences, including introductory information sessions meant for the purpose of survey. We believe in the transformative power of art and strive to support students in uncovering their own stories and interests. This cohort functions as an introduction, a jumpstart to a longer more substantial career path in the creative arts.

Exploration skill-building Cohorts typically cap at 10-12 students, 3 hours per week, followed by a culminating two hour presentation/seminar style workshop. These Cohort experiences are for the student who prefers an immersive style of instruction over independent module style or classroom discussions. Get ready to delve into an artistic journey coupled with hands on career exploration in the creative arts.
